Trip Description

It is not easy to describe Kenya in just a few words, but it would be fair to say that it is one of the most superb birding destinations in the world. Add the huge numbers and variety of mammals and the large diversity of scenery and you really do have the ingredients for a wonderful experience. This tour has been arranged to visit some of the best birding sites in the country and to see as many bird species as possible.

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Day 2: Nairobi National Park 

​

Day 3: Nairiobi to Mount Kenya with Key Birding Stops in Thika, the Tana River, and Wajee Camp and Serena Mountain Lodge

Day 4 and 5: Lower Slopes of Mount Kenya and Samburu Game Reserve 

​

Day 6: Buffalo Springs Game Reserve, Meru Forest and Naro River Lodge. 

​

Day 7 and 8: Mount Kenya National Park (Higher Elevations) and Lake Nakuru National Park. 

​

Days 9 and 10: Lake Nakuru National Park and Lake Baringo. 

​

Day 11: Kinnangop Plateau Galamaiyu Forest – Limuru Oibd Nairobi via Kinnangop.

Day 12: Transition Day: Some clients will leave today, though many will continue on to Day 1 of the trip extension
