Brief Itinerary
Our Sri Lanka trip takes you to one of the most exotic birding destinations in the world. This small and friendly nation makes traveling enjoyable and rewarding. The island’s easy traveling will take you from lowland rainforest habitats to the terraced landscapes in the central highlands, providing you the opportunity to find abundant birdlife, including most of its endemic species. Sri Lanka also boasts with a fascinating history and an amazing culture which will top off your traveling experience.
You will visit some of the most important birding sites in the country, including some spectacular National Parks such us Nuwara Eliya & Horton Plains NP, Udawalawe NP, Yala NP, Bundala NP, and many other reserves to make for an overall wonderful birding experience.
Day 1: Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Kandy; PM Birding at Peradeniya Botanical Gardens

Day 2: Early AM Birding at Udawattekele Reserve and Transfer to Nuwara Eliya

Day 3: Full Day Birding Nuwara Eliya & Horton Plains National Park
​
Day 4: Transfer to Kithulgala; PM Birding Kelani Valley Forest Reserve

Day 5: Full Day Birding Kithulgala & Kelani Valley Forest Reserve

Day 6: Transfer to Kithulgala Sinharaja; PM Birding Sinharaja Rainforest Reserve

Day 7: Full Day Birding Sinharaja Rainforest Reserve

Day 8: Full Day Birding Sinharaja Rainforest Reserve

Day 9: Transfer to Udawalawe National Park; PM Game Drive

Day 10: Early AM Birding at Udawalawe, Mid-morning Transfer to Tissa; PM Wildlife Watching at Yala National Park

Day 11: Full Day Birding Bundala National Park & Tissa

Day 12: Early AM Birding near Tissa; PM Transfer to Colombo
