Vietnam: Birding in the North

Trip Description

On the Northern Extension you will spend 6 more days to visit two major birding sites, and add a number of great birds to your list. Birding in the north gives you the chance to look for some rare and very interesting species, such as Red-collared Woodpecker, Limestone Wren Babbler and Eared Pitta in Cuc Phuong National Park. You will also make stops at specific sites to search for the Grey Laughingthrush, Collared Babbler, Short-tailed Parrotbill and, most difficult of all,  Blue-naped Pitta.
